Directed by Miklós H. Vecsei and in a new translation by Dániel Varró, the Hungarian State Opera presents Mozart’s Escape from the Seraglio online, accompanied by video animation.

A Szöktetés a szerájból legújabb bemutatóját Vecsei H. Miklós állítja színpadra, aki maga írta a köztes párbeszédeket, a szöveg-zene-látvány hármasára épülő különleges feldolgozásában ? írták.
A produkció animált vetítésekkel kísért, modern látványvilágát a több mint 20 éves szakmai múlttal rendelkező Kiégő Izzók csapata készítette, míg a jelmezek Vecsei Kinga Réta munkái. A fiatalos hangvételű produkcióhoz Varró Dániel készített friss fordítást, akinek A varázsfuvola 2014-es zeneakadémiai produkciója után ez a második Mozart-daljátéka.

The latest premiere of Escape from the Seraglio will be staged by Miklós H. Vecsei, who wrote the interludes himself, in a special adaptation based on the text-music-sight triad ? written by the author.
The production’s modern visuals, accompanied by animated projections, were created by the Burning Incandescents team, a team with more than 20 years of professional experience, while the costumes are the work of Réta Kinga Vecsei. Dániel Varró, whose production of The Magic Flute at the Academy of Music in 2014 is his second Mozart play, has created a fresh translation for the youthful production.
The soloist roles in Escape from the Seraglio are Erika Miklósa (Konstanze), Péter Balczó (Belmonte), Géza Gábor (Ozmin), Rita Rácz (Blonde) and János Szerekován (Pedrillo), while the only prose role in the piece, the bassa Szelim, is played by József Wunderlich. The Orchestra and Choir of the Hungarian State Opera House (Gábor Csiki, Chorus Director) will be conducted by Péter Halász.
